A Guide for Creating Industry Education Partnerships

The Center for Science, Mathematics and Technology at Mississippi State University was established in 1996. During this time of service, the Center has been awarded sixteen grants totaling over $9 million from agencies such as the National Science Foundation, United States Golf Association, the Appalachian Regional Commission, and the Department of Education. The Center's programs have impacted hundreds of teachers and students in the state of Mississippi and the nation. These programs have served as a catalyst for industry to partner with education, bridging the gap between the classroom and the workplace and improving the knowledge and skill base of tomorrows' workforce.
The mission of the Center for Science, Mathematics and Technology is to promote interdisciplinary projects that focus on science, mathematics and technology education and to focus on human resource development in the workforce, in the community, and in the classroom.
